Clear Steps Recovery Understands How a Health Realization Program Can Help
Have you or a loved one tried on more than one occasion to stop using drugs or alcohol? You are sincere in your goal, but something is holding you back. Let Clear Steps Recovery provide the professional help you need to find your way back to yourself.
When rehab counseling is unsuccessful, it can leave individuals discouraged and unwilling to try counseling again because it did not work the first time. However, everyone’s recovery journey is different, and it may take some trial and error to find the right approach that works.
Our approach is to guide the clients back to themselves. We do this with an understanding that clients are resilient and have everything they need inside; it is just covered up by thoughts of insecurity, shame, and past traumas. Our counselors are trained in health realization and many other approaches.
How Does Health Realization in New Hampshire Work?
Clients need to understand they are not powerless but are instead resilient. The health realization process involves many different components, including:
- A rapport with the counselor where deep listening occurs that allows the client to begin to understand where their experience of life comes from. It’s not about thinking positively or changing your thinking; it’s understanding where your experience is coming from.
- Gaining the understanding that thoughts come into our mind randomly and we don’t need to control, nor can we control what we think. What we can do is become aware that our thinking is creating what we experience. Understanding and internalizing this realization gives the client back the power they thought was outside of their experience.
- Accepting that we do not truly experience what’s happening in the outside world—we experience it the only way we can—through our thinking and the way we feel it. When we understand how we work as human beings at our core, it naturally becomes easier to understand and manage all kinds of stressors without alcohol or other drugs.
- Using the power of this self-realization about the nature of experience to make changes in our thinking and feelings and thus change our reality. The goal of Clear Steps Recovery is to show clients how to function without using alcohol or other drugs by helping to facilitate their own insights into how the human experience unfolds and how to manage difficult experiences.
Clients innately learn how to handle whatever is happening in their lives because they understand that what we experience is happening inside us. It is not because of what is happening outside of us.
